Virtuosic. Electrifying. Unforgettable.
VALENTIN AKÇAĞ –
CLASSICAL & ELECTRO VIOLINIST
Valentin Akçağ combines classical virtuosity with modern sound design. Whether it's a gala, corporate event, or private celebration, his performances provide a unique sound experience that gets under your skin. With stylistic versatility, artistic precision, and a keen sense of the moment, he lends every event a musical signature that impresses with style and resonates long after the event.
He held his first violin at the age of three – since then, music has been not just a vocation, but the expression of a distinctive style. But it wasn't just the strings, his voice also opened his eyes to international stages early on: As a soloist with the Zurich Boys' Choir, he sang in the opera houses of Zurich and Shanghai, among others, and on tours in China and the United States. Press releases, CD productions, and TV appearances accompanied his intensive singing career – until his voice broke brought this chapter to a natural close.
His passion for the violin led him to the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where he studied music and earned a Master of Arts in Performance in violin in 2010. At the same time, he earned a Master's in Accounting & Finance from the University of St. Gallen – a rare dual path that combines artistic depth with entrepreneurial thinking.
As a classical violinist, he has delighted audiences with solo performances at venues such as the Zurich Tonhalle with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, as well as as concertmaster of various symphony orchestras. Influenced by mentors such as Professor Viktor Pikaizen, Professor Valery Gradov, Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink, Ralf Weikert, and David Zinman, he developed a musical maturity that has been recognized with multiple first prizes and awards at national competitions.
Since 2009, he has been pushing the boundaries of classical stage presence as an electronic violinist. Whether on tour with the Swiss Tenors, on stage alongside DJs like David Guetta or Tanja La Croix, at the Street Parade, the Zurich Film Festival, or at exclusive events for BlackRock and Calvin Klein – his violin brings classical sophistication to modern soundscapes. From the Hallenstadion to pool parties in Ibiza to Tokyo's supper clubs: his playing creates atmospheric highlights that evoke emotions and remain memorable.
